Op Art 2

This piece is not fully completed yet, but so far it is looking really cool. The design is starting to look really really nice and pretty awesome. The colors that im putting in it are pink, orange, and black and they all look pretty sweet together. So, the design and colors are really working, but the pink marker is so not. I think that even though i love pink i would take it out because the pink markers run out and there are like two of them. The most difficult part about this piece is the coloring because of how long it is taking andd how often you have to switch the markers. It is just a bit tedious. But, for now im learning how to make some cool op art designs and that it is not fun to color with sharpies haha.

Op Art 1

I tthink that this piece looks really cool and turned out really well. I think that it is pretty successful becuase it looks like op art. If you look at it long enough it starts to move a little bit. What worked on this project was how I took certain parts of the circle and moved it outside the circle. What didnt work was the line on the ring of the circle. If I were to do this project over again I would definitley eliminate that line. The most difficult part of this was deciding what to do and also making the lines semi even. It was also pretty hard to color in with the sharpie. I learned how to make op art and you can do some pretty cool things with it. Overall, I really liked this piece.

Magazine Reflection

I really like this piece. I think that it looks really good and im proud of it. I think that it was really successful because the fact that it turned out so darn well. It looks very nice. What worked on this project was pretty much everything right down to the shading. It came together nicely with drawing the gaps on it. What didn't work though was the lips, they are just a little bit lop-sided. If I were to do this project over again I would make it so that there were more gaps to draw in where her face was, so that there was more of things that I drew so it would look cooler. The most difficult part of this was looking over on the other paper and trying to draw what you saw in proportion to the magazine. From this piece I learned how to draw in proportion and how to fill in the gaps.

Water Color

I really like this piece it turned out so cool and they really look like feathers!!! I feel that this piece was super successful because the fact that i was able to make them look real and not make them just look like blobs on paper. What worked in this project was the color of the feathers and the feather. However, the background does not work with it. I liked it better before the background was put on. If I did this project again I seriously would not put a background on at all, and that would be the only thing to change. The most difficult part of this project was getting the watercolors not to run all over and ruin the project. It was hard to get them to do what I wwanted. From this piece I learned how to use watercolors and that hairdryers are not just for hair haha. :)

Pop Art Sculpture

I think that this piece turned out so cool! It was really successful!!! We made it so that the different apps are velcroed and you can change them around. What worked was the app idea that we had. It really made the piece come together and be really really cool. I am so glad we decided to do that. Also making the apps 3D instead of just painting them on worked. What didnt work was the outside of the box. It was really flimsy and just didn't work how we wanted it to. If I did this project over I would make the outside of it a lot different, probably would have used a different material. The most difficult thing about this was the paper mache. It was really hard to work with and was also so gross. I learned how to make things out of paper mache and how to work as a team to get things done. This project was really cool and I really liked it.

Character Skeleton

My overall thoughts on this piece is that it turned out really well and look so good. Gus gus looks super duper cute!! I think that this piece was really successful because Gus Gus looks really good like its actually him and the skeleton looks pretty darn good as well. What workerd about this project was the character but not the skeleton. My skeleton looks good but it was creepy to draw and just doesn't look like the cute Gus Gus we all know and love. If I were to do this project over I would choose a character that wasn't so fat and turned because it made him difficult to decide where the skeleton would be. The most difficult part of this was definitley the skeleton. It was hard deciding how to make his nose and where to place his little bones. I learned how to draw a skeletal figure and draw a little charater. I enjoyed this piece it was pretty cool and turned out well.

Cell Animation Project

My overall thoughts on this piece are that it turned out really well and the backround looks really pretty the way I painted it. I feel that this piece was really successful because of the way that the background turned out and the way that my surfer girl looks. She has a sense of almost being real but still being a cartoon. Also I like how the background colors are, they are really nicely blended. Mostly everything worked about this project with the exception of the color of the girls hair with the color of the sky. It almost blends in. If I were to do this over I would change the girls hair and that is all. I wouldnt touch the rest of it except for that one detail. It would make it so they didn't blend as much. The most difficult part of this project was painting on the clear sheet that we were given. It was really hard to get the colors right and to not have them look super streaky. I learned how to make my backrground look more textured and real and I also learned how to draw cartoon characters. So overall, I really like this piece and think that it turned out really well.
